About the spread:

I LOVE THIS BEAN SPREAD!!!!

It is so easy to make, so versatile, and so cheap.  It works perfectly as a dip for veggies, apples, chips, and pretzels.  It works equally well as a spread on toast, crostini, wraps, and burgers.  Essentially, use it wherever you would use mayo or hummus.

To make, it’s as easy as combining everything in a blender and turning it on.  A food processor would work as well. If you aren’t using a high-speed blender, mince the garlic before adding it in.

If you aren’t able to find cannellini beans, you can sub white beans or great northern beans.  Liquid smoke is readily available in most grocery stores (look in the condiment aisle). Tahini (like peanut butter, but made with sesame seeds) can be trickier to find, but is usually located with the other nut butters.
